Jose Mourinho Leaves Manchester United! Caretaker Manager To Be Appointed!

Manchester United on Tuesday morning announced that Jose Mourinho has left his role as the first team manager. Jose Mourinho, who was under severe pressure from the fans, media and legends, left Manchester United after he led the club to its worst ever start for a Premier League season.

Despite qualifying for the Champions League Knockouts, where the club are slated to face Paris Saint Germain, it was end of the road for the Manchester United boss after a 3-1 humiliation in the hands of bitter rivals Liverpool in the weekend.

Jose Mourinho leaves with the best record for a Manchester United manager that has managed more than 2 seasons at the club with a win % of 58. He won 2 trophies and the community shield in his first season followed by United’s highest league finish, league goals scored, goals conceded in one season since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

We at Manchester United Updates would like to wish Jose Mourinho all the luck for his future.

Caretaker Manager

Manchester United in their statement also announced that the club would look to appoint a caretaker manager quickly before going for the next full time head coach probably in the summer.

And early reports from the Sky Sports and The BBC indicate that Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is one of the contenders to take the job on a temporary basis. Laurent Blanc also is being mentioned as a strong favourite. The same reports indicate no club insider like Carrick or Butt will be given the role as United look for some stability.
